Position: Mechanical Engineer Instructor

Description: The Instructor must teach one or more of the following four courses - Mechanical Components and Electrical Drives Electrical Components, Electro-Pneumatic and Hydraulic Control Circuits, and or Digital Fundamentals and Programmable Logic Controllers; advise students; participate in KTECH and organizational work; submit required reports on attendance and grades; and assist in various supporting tasks. This position is under direct supervision of the Lead Instructor and Director Workforce Development and must comply with all policies and procedures of the KTECH program.

Qualifications:

  1. Associate’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a closely related field from an accredited institution required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)

  2. Minimum of three years of combined documented experience in mechanical engineering, industrial motor control systems and or mechatronics required

  3. Industrial certification in Mechanical Engineering preferred

  4. Effective oral and written communication skills

  5. Ability to present instructional material in an understandable manner

  6. Ability to positively manage students from a variety of backgrounds

  7. Knowledge of subject matter and latest advances in subject(s) taught

  8. Understanding of the mission and goals of the KTECH program

  9. Ability to follow established policies and procedures of the organization

Position: Digital Fundamentals & PLC Instructor

Description: The Instructor must teach one or more of the following four courses - Digital Fundamentals and Programmable Logic Controllers, Electrical Components, Mechanical Components and Electrical Drives, and or Electro-Pneumatic and Hydraulic Control Circuits; advise students; participate in KTECH and organizational work; submit required reports on attendance and grades; and assist in various supporting tasks.   1. Associate’s degree in industrial electronics, computer science, PLC programming, or a closely related field from an accredited institution required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)

  2. Minimum of three years of combined documented experience in industrial electronics, computer science, and or PLC programming

  3. Industrial certification in industrial electronics, computer science, and or PLC programming preferred

  4. Effective oral and written communication skills

  5. Ability to present instructional material in an understandable manner

  6. Ability to positively manage students from a variety of backgrounds

  7. Knowledge of subject matter and latest advances in subject(s) taught

  8. Understanding of the mission and goals of the KTECH program

  9. Ability to follow established policies and procedures of the organization

Position: Electrical/Electronics Engineering Technology (Mechatronics) Instructor

Description: The Instructor must teach one or more of the following four courses - Electrical Components, Mechanical Components and Electrical Drives, Electro-Pneumatic and Hydraulic Control Circuits, Digital Fundamentals and Programmable Logic Controllers; advise students; participate in KTECH and organizational work; submit required reports on attendance and grades; and assist in various supporting tasks.   1. Associate’s degree in electrical/electronics, industrial maintenance, or a closely related field from an accredited institution required (Bachelor’s degree preferred)

  2. Minimum of three years of combined documented experience in industrial electricity/electronics

  3. PLC programming, motor control systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, mechatronics, industrial controls required, and or robotic experience is helpful

  4. Industrial certification in electrical/electronics is preferred

  5. Effective oral and written communication skills

  6. Ability to present instructional material in an understandable manner

  7. Ability to positively manage students from a variety of backgrounds

  8. Knowledge of subject matter and latest advances in subject(s) taught

  9. Understanding of the mission and goals of the KTECH program

  10. Ability to follow established policies and procedures of the organization
