Patricia Corbitt
Director of Social Services

Patricia Corbitt is a therapist, serving the girls who live at Davidson Farms.  Patricia relates to our girls both personally and professionally because of her own life experiences.

Patricia was raised by her grandmother along with seven siblings and a cousin. She understands the meaning of loss and family connections. Patricia is the mother of three adult children, grandmother of ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren whom she adores. 

She received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Alabama A&M University in 2004, and a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management from Faulkner University in 2001. She also has experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Patricia was employed for seven years with an agency that specialized in services for Pre and Post Adoptive families adopting children from the State Foster Care System, as a Family Therapist and Family Support Worker. She is currently employed full-time with Huntsville City Schools as a School Social Worker.

Patricia’s list of credentials also includes licensed graduate social worker, ordained minister, published author, and conference facilitator. She has written a parenting program, Empowering Parents to Parent- Parenting from a Biblical Perspective. She has also published poems in Writings from the Edge and Writings for My Sistas.
